Welcome to The White House, Barack

Words cannot express how I feel tonight. Happiness, relief, faith in our country and it's people....

I am not going to say much more, as I am exhausted. But, I am really looking forward to the new journey the country is going to be headed on. One filled with change, and one where we have a chance to get out of debt and attempt to give equal rights to everyone.

Hugs to everyone!

P.S. McCain's speech was very gracious and humble and I was very, surprisingly, impressed. I think if he would have acted like that during the duration of his campaign, instead of attacking all the time, this race might have been more close......

I, too, became teary eyed during Obama's speech. So well done, reminding us that this election is only the beginning, that there is so much work still to do.

Agreed on the McCain speech, very gracious.

I get tears in my eyes even reading about everyone's reaction to the results!

I agree that if John McCain had behaved better during the campaign, he might have had more of a chance.

I'm still glad at the way things turned out!

It was a great night, for sure!

I outright cried during the speech--Heck, I started crying the instant CNN put the projected winner info out. Everything about last night was dreamlike in its perfection.

I was on the edge of my seat watching in Mexico! I was so happy! I teared up during the speech. The Canadians and Mexicans here were more excited than the Americans for Obama! Then again, there were a lot of older, Southern, conservatives from the US there!

anyway, I agree about McCain's speech. His followers on the other hand, yikes. Pretty ruthless. I am surprised by the comments (of republicans) that I have seen.
