Miss California

Ironic.

As I was stating in an earlier post about religion and being hypocritical, this article came through to me via email about Miss California that truly made me chuckle.

Apparently, it is OK to not stand behind your conservative Christian beliefs if it is for your job! I did not know that! I will have to read that chapter of the Bible over again. Some of the things that come out of her mouth are hilarious, and not in a "hahaha funny" kinda way. I love her "woe is me, everyone is out to get me now....." attitude.

While I could care less what her opinion is on gay marriage (as I agree with her that we are all entitled to our own opinions), it is somewhat confusing to me how she can judge people in the way she does, and then, in the same breath, say that people should not judge her. Ludicrous. Thank God she is not representing our country in the position of Miss USA.

I'm just glad I don't live in California where she would be representing my state. She's a joke. God doesn't believe in gay marriage, but God does believe in breast implants and semi-nude (and even nude?) modeling? What God does she pray to that allows this?

ahhh, my friend, the beauty of the Bible and religion. Follow what you want, don't follow the rest and make up excuses as to why........

hypocrisy at it's finest. This is one thing that I can't stand about those who try to use religion as their crutch... twisting the bible and taking the parts they want to follow for their convenience, justifying their actions and then getting upset when others call them out on it.

Don't get me wrong, I feel everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But she needs to deal with the repercussions that come with voicing your opinion and making the statements that she has in a public forum, such as a televised pageant and interviews.

I am not saying that I condone Perez Hilton or anyone else that is bashing her. Reality is, even if she had said, "I decline to answer," she would be getting heat from both sides.

And those pictures would have surfaced regardless of this issue... numerous contestants have had not so desirable pictures and myspace profiles revealed through out their career. She needs to stop crying wolf.
