In loft apartment in a large city. Boston. Chicago. Paris. Denver. I'm sure by the time I retire, more city options will be added to this list!
J would like to retire and be a hermit somewhere in the middle of nowhere. I'm watching his parents go through this now, and while his mom has adjusted nicely to his dad's choice of locale, well...let's just say I'm not as agreeable, LOL!
I don't know... I want to say live in a very small appartment in a big city (New York City being my first choice of course.. but more realistically Toronto or Vancouver) and then travel a lot. But I don't know... by the time I retire (Freedom 95 here I come!) I might want to be left alone in the woods hehe.

When I retire... hands down... I'd like in Skaneateles, NY.
why there, Colleen? Do you have family there?
If price were no option, I would most likely buy rain forest property someone in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.
If money was not an issue, I would live in Maui.
No hesitation - the Oregon coast!
I'm sure you'll be shocked by this - Aspen.
I don't have much family there any more, but it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen and very calming. I spent my summers there as a kid.

I'm with Amanda, a loft apartment. One in NYC and one in Paris.
